Qualifications:
- Must be licensed as a Special Education teacher - Moderate Disabilities with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- SEI Endorsement Required
- Must hold a bachelors degree or higher.
General Duties:
Guides andevaluatesthe learning experience of the students in her/his classesandaccepts responsibility for activities ofstudentswithin her/his purview within the school building oron the school grounds.
Specific Duties:
- Provides differentiated curriculum instruction to students
- Participatesin faculty meetings and workshops
- Provides whennecessaryinstructionalhelp outsidethe regularstudent day within bounds established bythecollectivebargainingagreement
- Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities
- Prepares records and reportsas
- Providesforthe careandprotection of school property
- Keeps recordsandall bookssuppliesandequipment in her/his classroom
- Acceptsinstructionalandnon-instructionalassignmentsasprovided forin the collectivebargainingagreement.
- Executes SchoolCommitteepolicy.
Salary:
Rate 1-30 days: $134.25/day 31-60 days: $161.25/day 61 days: TBD
