Job Summary
Location: New York NY (Hybrid 3 days onsite flexibility on 2 days remote)
Experience: 3-5 Years for Snowflake hand-on Experience
We are inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant Snowflake
We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Snowflake with hands-on experience in Snowpark StreamSets and modern data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Snowflake-based architectures complemented by knowledge of Java Spring Boot and Oracle. Experience in applying AI/ML models within a data warehouse environment is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of data pipelines and solutions using Snowflake Snowpark and StreamSets
Serve as the SME for Snowflake architecture performance tuning security and data governance
Develop scalable reusable data transformation logic using Snowpark (Scala/Java/Python) and integrate with external systems
Collaborate with application developers to expose and consume REST APIs for data services using Java / Spring Boot
Optimize data models and SQL queries within Snowflake for performance and cost
Integrate and manage data movement from Oracle and other data sources into Snowflake
Work with DevOps and platform teams to enable CI/CD for data pipeline deployment
If applicable design and implement AI/ML models within Snowflake or connect external ML models into the data platform
Snowflake: In-depth experience with Snowflake features architecture performance tuning roles & access controls
Snowpark: Hands-on development experience using Snowpark (Python/Java/Scala)
StreamSets: Expertise in designing implementing and managing StreamSets pipelines
Core Java: Ability to build and maintain backend components using Java
Spring Boot: Experience in building RESTful services/APIs using Spring Boot
Oracle: Good understanding of Oracle data structures SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction and transformation
Skillset
Experience with AI/ML workflows on data warehouse platforms (Snowflake ML integrations with SageMaker DataRobot etc.)
Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools (Git Jenkins Docker Terraform)
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
