Service Supervisor Luxury Safari Lodge Sabi Sands
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and experienced Service Supervisor for a luxury safari lodge in the Sabi Sands. This position offers a negotiable salary depending on experience.
Key Focus Areas:
Ensure consistency in services and products offered.
Monitor staff and guest activities to ensure compliance with liquor regulations.
Perform beverage preparation and service tasks including presentation sales and staff training ensuring profit margins are achieved.
Assist in developing and implementing specialty drinks for welcome morning and evening services.
Promote effective communication between the kitchen and service teams including daily service meetings and proper pass management.
Investigate and resolve guest complaints when required.
Focus on guest service while managing stock control and financial responsibilities.
Estimate consumption based on forecasts and schedule beverage and service equipment orders verifying quality and quantity on delivery.
Maintain par levels for crockery cutlery and glassware.
Review beverage menus and analyse recipes to determine labour and overhead costs and set pricing.
Maintain beverage and service equipment inventories and records.
Ensure effective operation of the POS system and use reports to identify popular and profitable items.
Arrange equipment maintenance and repairs coordinating services such as refrigeration and ice machine maintenance.
Requirements Qualifications and Skills:
Extensive knowledge of high-level food and beverage customer service in a luxury environment.
Strong knowledge of local regional and international wines and other beverages.
Sound understanding of food preparation methods products and supply.
Knowledge of stock procedures and control.
Competence in operating all service appliances and equipment.
Knowledge of hygiene standards and cleaning products used in the operation.
Basic understanding of planning budgeting and departmental administration.
