- Team and People Development

- Develop and implement strategies towards talent development and aligning to the vision of global product group and local management
- Identify and implement plans for technical competency development within M&A group
- Attract develop appraise and retain qualified and skilled staff.
- Motivate empower and develop the firmware development functional team
- Contribute and support to manage budget to fund yearly operations and infrastructure people development
- Build culture of collaboration transparency result oriented project teams with strong alignment to respective business sites.

- Process & Quality Improvement
Facilitate evaluation of tools technologies and processes.
Continuously improve development processes and tools for productivity.
Interact with Emerson Measurement & Analytical engineering teams to identify synergies and best practices and share across other product groups in Measurement Solutions and within M&A for maximizing benefits
- Engage in budgeting resource planning and vendor management where applicable.

For This Role You Will Need:
Bachelors or masters degree in engineering
Overall15 yrs of experience in Firmware Testing with 3-5 years of experience in leadership
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining high-performance new product development teams
Understand the Measurement solutions business to encourage sharing of new ideas and best practices within the group
Excellent technical analytical debugging problem-solving communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment within a complex global organization
- Experience of leading firmware testing teams
- Ability to flex working hours to accommodate global time differences
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience in leading and executing engineering project teams that develop new products
- Experience in Leading Firmware Testing team which has successfully delivered new product development and sustaining engineering projects.
- Experience with Stage gated NPD processes
- Experience with Agile Product Development e.g. SCRUM TDD XP
- Experience working with international teams
- Excellent presentation and persuasion skills
- Provide valuable ideas for continuous improvement and innovation
