The responsibilities for the Flamingo Main Showroom Head of Audio (A1/Audio Board Operator) include but are not limited to:
The Head of Sound is responsible for overseeing the sound system and show operations for the Flamingo Main Showroom at the Flamingo Hotel. It entails the loading in running and loading out of our two resident shows as well as any one-off shows. The Head of Department is responsible for the sound system maintenance sound crew and execution of sound cues of the venue to ensure a successful and safe production. They must know how to perform a daily general check of the Audio system and its equipment within the Showroom. They must be able to multitask and adapt watching the show and artists movements with the ability to adjust cues as needed. The head of department should be calm under pressure and be able to guide the department through troubleshooting while clearly keep production and management appraised of any situations that arise.

Reviews show schedule and work with the Technical Manager to schedule staff accordingly.
Works with the Technical Manager on operating and capital budgets for the Sound Department inclusive of tracking gear/system replacements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos in English. Ability to effectively write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

Ability to climb stairs standing for long periods of time requires substantial walking bending lifting and working in a smoke-filled environment.
