We have an exciting opportunity for an onsite Systems Engineer Intern to join our Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate in McKinney Texas. TEE is a multi-discipline organization responsible for contributing to the development of test solutions for all Raytheon products. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies selection and integration with test instruments and environments to develop a test system for all Raytheon products including both lab engineering and factory production test systems.

The Systems Engineer Intern will be responsible for the design development integration and validation of analysis hardware and software test solutions for multiple production programs using engineering best practices under the guidance of the Team Lead and Section Manager.

This position is 100% on site in McKinney TX

What You Will Do:

• Work with hardware software and program engineers to design and develop data analysis solutions that place process pass/fail data at multiple build points.
• Implement system software engineering best practices in planning development and execution of scope schedule and budget
• Provide hands on support to product testingwithin an engineering and production test environment
• Share knowledge and provide mentoring to other engineers on the Multi-Functional RF Test Solutions robotics team
• Drive commonality in the teams solutions
• Adhere to the Sections Software Development Plan (SDP)
• Report program status weekly
• Support the Section Manager and Team Lead in the execution of the RF Technologies department goals

Qualifications You Must Have:

• This position is for an intern who will be entering their (Sophomore Junior Senior or Postgraduate) year by the start of Summer 2026
• Must be pursuing as Bachelors or graduate degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience with C/C and/or Python.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
• Experience with Robotics
• Completion of 1 internship in a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

  The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
