Registered Nurse - NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
Location:Providence RI United States (Onsite)
Contract Duration:90 Days
Pay Rate:$68.79 per hour
Schedule:3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
Shift:7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Monday to Friday
Summary
The NICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting. The RN will collaborate with physicians families and the healthcare team to deliver compassionate evidence-based care in accordance with the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Nursing Practice.
EPIC experience is required.
COVID-19 vaccination required.
Responsibilities

Provide continuous high-quality care to premature and critically ill newborns.

Monitor vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.

Utilize adjust and maintain specialized medical equipment used in neonatal care.

Formulate and implement individualized nursing care plans; evaluate patient progress and adjust interventions accordingly.

Comfort and support newborns and their families throughout hospitalization.

Educate parents and caregivers on at-home care procedures and post-discharge instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements

Experience:Minimum of 5 years of NICU experience.

Licensure:Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island.

Certifications:

Technical Skills:Proficiency in EPIC EMR system.

Other:Must be proficient in the English language.
