About the Role
The Lead Implementation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and delivering professional development activities-including training and coaching-for Early Steps direct service providers service coordinators and other staff. This position ensures fidelity to the FL-EPIC Early Steps Professional Development (ESPD) model and supports embedded intervention practices aligned with the Pyramid Model.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Institution of Higher Education (IHE) team and the Early Steps State Office (ESSO) to implement FL-EPIC ESPD and aligned professional activities across the local Early Steps (LES) program
- Maintain proficiency in coaching Early Steps providers on home visiting practices and embedded interventions
- Lead and oversee training and coaching activities for Early Steps personnel
- Provide direct coaching to providers working with families in natural environments
- Co-facilitate workshops focused on social-emotional practices aligned with the Pyramid Model
- Participate in monthly virtual cross-site meetings and quarterly team meetings with ESSO LES administrators LICs and the IHE team
- Coordinate weekly or biweekly planning sessions with site administrators
- Collect and manage coaching and child/family outcome data
- Travel as required; driving is an essential function of this role
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field relevant to Part C service delivery
- Advanced knowledge of Part C and the Florida Early Steps Program
- Must be an Early Steps approved provider
- FL-EPIC training preferred
- Experience providing early intervention services to children (birth to age 3) in natural environments
- Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills
- Familiarity with technology and its applications in professional development
- Experience in designing delivering or evaluating professional development or technical assistance
- Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle as required for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
