Job Summary

Fuse Developer Red Hat Fuse Apache Camel Java/Spring

Opportunity to support digital transformation in the P&C insurance industry through advanced integration work using Red Hat Fuse Apache Camel and Java. Contribute to secure and scalable API development in a hybrid environment. Work with Agile teams on innovative high-impact initiatives. Onsite 3 days/week in Markham.

What is in it for you:

Salaried: $65-70 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $75-80 per hour.
10-month contract.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Hybrid model: 3 days per week on-site subject to change.

Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain integration flows using Red Hat Fuse Apache Camel and ActiveMQ to support insurance business processes.
Collaborate with business analysts architects and application teams to gather integration requirements across policy billing and claims systems.
Develop and expose RESTful and SOAP APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange with brokers reinsurers and regulatory bodies.
Ensure that integrations are secure scalable and aligned with industry standards and data privacy regulations.
Participate in Agile ceremonies code reviews and DevOps activities to support quality and timely delivery.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to middleware and integration flows.

What you will need to succeed:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
3 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Fuse Apache Camel or JBoss Fuse.
Strong command of Java and the Spring Framework.
Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns and message-oriented middleware.
Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.
Effective communication and analytical skills with the ability to perform in a regulated fast-paced environment.
Experience working with insurance core systems such as Guidewire is a strong asset.

Nice to have:

Experience with Spring Boot and microservice design.
Exposure to AWS (e.g. Lambda SQS SNS API Gateway ECS).
Familiarity with Docker OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Understanding of insurance data standards (e.g. ACORD) and regulatory frameworks (e.g. FSRA OSFI).
Experience with observability tools such as ELK Stack Prometheus or Grafana.
