Patient Demographics: Adult ICU population

Patient Volume/Census: 1216 patients per shift

Admissions: Included

Rounding: Included

Case Mix: High-acuity ICU patients

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: Cerner

Office Equipment Available: TBD

Specialty Backup Available: Back-up physician on call; in-house anesthesia

Support Staff Available: Physicians and anesthesia team

Reason for Coverage: Temporary need until permanent hire

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 3045 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active WV license or IMLC (IMLC only accepted for new licensure)

Board: Board Certification required

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS ACLS

Experience: Minimum 2 years critical care experience required

Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable working independently overnight

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide ICU night coverage independently

Manage admissions and consults

Perform procedures such as central and arterial lines (preferred)

Collaborate with on-call physician and in-house anesthesia

Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation
