The Role

Bottomline is looking for a Java Developer/Engineer to grow with us either in a Hybrid work environment out of our Theale Reading UK office or remotely.

This person must be based in the United Kingdom.

How youll contribute:

This person will:

Take partinthe development andmaintenanceofaSAASPlatform.

Write technical designs(conception architecture data model)

Develop and maintain theplatform(coding)

Identify and resolveincidents.

Delight our customers by:

Deliveringhigh quality bug free software

Respectingcustomer commitments

Assistingoperations (incl. supportdeliveryand pre-sales) with subject matter expertise when needed

Providingexpected effort to solvecustomer issues

Understanding fully the FM(Financial Messaging)Strategy

What will make you successful:

Strong/provencoding experience on backend technologies Java especiallySpring/Spring Bootframework JPA Must Have
5-8 years experience in software development.
ITmasters degree orbachelorsdegree in computers science engineeringor relevant experience.
High understanding of Kubernetes andof all phases of SDLC experience in working with Agile methodology.
High understanding ofmulti-tier architecture Web based development and Services Oriented Architecture.
Knowledge or experience in software design and architecture with familiarity in bothmicroservices andhexagonalarchitecture.
Be aware of Non-Functional Requirements.
Strong understanding ofRESTful services.
Strong analytical and algorithmic skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for learning and innovation.
Heightened sense of client service.
Excellentoraland written communication skills
Solid experience in designing and developing with relational databases (Postgres) andSQL.
Good knowledge ofcontainerizedplatforms working withDockerand
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such asMavenBitbucketGitLabJenkins

Nice to Have Skills

Experience with anyMessage Broker such asActiveMQwould be an advantage.
Knowledge ofS3 environment would be an advantage.
Knowledge ofSWIFT network/bankingenvironment would be an advantage.
Rigorous methodical and organized.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Mastery in software engineering tools.
Experience withbehaviordriven development.
