Salary Range: $27.62- $29.38 hourly 8% vacation pay

POSITION SUMMARY
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Parliamentary Education Office is seeking up to nine outgoing motivated and organized individuals for the auxiliary as-and-when position of Tour Guide. Applicants must be available and legally eligible to work full-time hours for the entire employment term. The position supports visitor operations seven days per week and workdays may vary. Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
Reporting to the Parliamentary Tour Officer the Tour Guide delivers engaging and educational tours of the B.C. Parliament Buildings. Tours highlight the history of British Columbia and Canada the provinces parliamentary processes and the architectural features of the Legislature. Tour Guides adapt presentations to suit a wide range of audiences and spend significant time outdoors welcoming visitors and enhancing their experience at the Parliament Buildings.
