Description

As anAdvanced Systems Engineerhere at Honeywell you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced systems solutions that meet customer requirements and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure the successful delivery of projects.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Tempe AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role you will impact the development of cutting-edge aerospace systems contributing to the safety and performance of our products while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Authoring and ensuring development process follows system safety program plans
  • Reliability analysis Allocations to define requirements
  • Functional hazard analysis
  • Failure conditions requirements analysis
  • Safety requirements decomposition
  • Model based development system design
  • Systems integration
  • Reliability predictions throughout design process
  • Failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA)
  • Safety requirements validation & verification
  • Customer interaction
  • Project coordination within a team and/or leading a small team of RMSS engineer

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics.
  • 3 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.

WE VALUE

  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as MS in Systems Engineering or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of system design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in systems modeling tools and techniques including SysML or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in system safety analysis per ARP4761 and/or MIL-STD-882.
  • Experience with aerospace systems and compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C or DO-254.
  • Background in requirements-based engineering and configuration management of requirements data.
  • Experience in leading engineering projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
