Whats the role

Step into a role where your expertise in data and reporting will shape how Westpacs Technology division manages risk. Youll design and maintain robust reporting frameworks build data pipelines and deliver insights that help senior leaders make informed decisions. Youll collaborate with technology and risk teams across the Group ensuring our reporting capabilities are accurate efficient and innovative. This is a full-time position based in Sydney working two days in the office each week to collaborate with tech and risk leaders across the Group to ensure were always ahead of the curve. Peak activity occurs in the first week of each month when new data is processed and reports are refreshed. If youre passionate about data risk governance and continuous improvement this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What do I need

To succeed in this role youll combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement. Heres what will set you apart:

  • Advanced skills in SQL DAX and PowerBI to design and optimise reporting solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines including ETL processes and data integration.
  • Ability to transform complex data into clear actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Azure Python or R and experience in risk or technology environments.
