This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1 vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Library department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list.

Work Schedule This position is scheduled to work four days per week nine hours per day for a total of 36 hours per week. The regular work schedule is Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
THE ROLE
Under general supervision performs entry-level library support duties in the areas of library reference and reader services public services and circulation.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process.
- Oral Board Interview (Weighted 100% Passing Score 70%).
- Pre-Employment Screening Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. **IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
- Selection/Offers
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100% requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
The selection process may include any combination of written performance and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education experience knowledge skills and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal ethical and professional standards.
