Abound Health is seeking Pre-Professionals to work as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This role offers flexible schedules (mornings evenings weekends) that you can build around your classes.

A Day in the Life You will gain direct hands-on experience in high-value skills that will set you apart in your field:
Patient Care & Support: Assist with activities of daily living personal care and mobility.
Healthcare Skills: Gain experience in medication administration wound care and monitoring physical and mental health needs.
Case Management & Advocacy: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Support Plans (ISPs) serve as a patient advocate and help individuals navigate community resources.
Clinical Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation of care service provision and medication logs a critical skill in all healthcare fields.
Behavioral Support: Learn to implement positive behavior supports and de-escalation strategies.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Nursing Social Work Psychology Pre-Med child education or a related human services field.
A strong desire to learn and gain hands-on healthcare experience.
Excellent communication accountability and time management skills.
A High School Diploma or GED.
A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.
