Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence as determined by competency assessments in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication technique and safety guidelines. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations shift times and lengths. Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.

Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
Additional Qualifications
Organized efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Ability to work varied hours shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days evenings nights holidays and weekends. Ultrasound Sonographer experience preferred.
License or Certification
Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 month of employment . Employees that provide breast imaging are required to obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency. BLS certified.
