Job Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse Intermediate Care for an exciting job in Utica NY.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/PCU) setting.
Monitor and manage patients requiring close observation including those transitioning from ICU-level care.
Administer medications monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records.
Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes.
Adhere to infection control safety and quality assurance standards.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (NURSYS verification required for all RN licenses).
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in IMCU/PCU required.
Travel: Prior travel nursing experience required (must provide two recent demographics).
Certifications: Current AHA BLS ACLS and NIHSS certifications required.
Skills: Strong patient assessment critical thinking and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a dynamic team-based environment.
