SALARY: $35.39 - $37.02- AA Degree

$38.70-40.32- BA Degree

NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary role in translating district correspondence and community communication materials.
• Provides simultaneous oral translations for district and/or school hearings meetings special events and activities.
• Works in collaboration with others.
• Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.
• Distribute documents and materials to appropriate staff students and/or parents.

NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Interpreter Certification preferred.
• Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual and Biliterate (Spanish) required.
• Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Skilled in advanced language proficiency.
• Knowledge of the ethics of interpreting or translating.
