Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Springfield Massachusetts
Salary Range: $70000 - $90000
Employment Type: Full-Time
Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Manufacturing Engineer required for a highly regarded supplier of high precision tooling and accessories for Swiss-type CNC machining.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Improve and support manufacturing operations by evaluating workflows identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
- Design and update production tooling and documentation including fixtures gauges equipment models and setup instructions using 3D design software.
- Provide hands-on technical support on the shop floor troubleshooting machine programs and assisting operators with setup and production challenges.
- Monitor product and material costs by maintaining accurate Bills of Material reviewing labor usage and tracking required resource needs.
- Oversee quality safety and calibration processes ensuring safety standards are maintained and measurement tools are calibrated on schedule.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess manufacturing issues and recommend improvements.
- Commutable to the main site near Springfield Massachusetts.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with limited supervision.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications including geometric tolerancing.
- Experience using 3D design and CAD/CAM software preferably SolidWorks to create and update models and tooling designs.
