About the Role
University Physical Therapy Salem is seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based care to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries surgeries and performance-related conditions. You will work in a collaborative environment with other rehabilitation professionals to help patients return to peak function wellness and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with sports-related injuries orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions.
- Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function strength and mobility.
- Educate patients on injury and fall risk prevention recovery strategies and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members in the community to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
- Experience:
- Preferred: 1 years in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine.
- New graduates with strong interest in sports rehab are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
