Position Title: Software Engineer

Reporting to: President of Engineering and Development

Department: Engineering

JOB SUMMARY

This engineering position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division. The Software Engineer will develop and maintain software for CPS&S manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with cross-functional teams and Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to write test and update software for manufacturing processes
Collect and analyze current and historical manufacturing data to improve efficiency and inform planning
Integrate manufacturing systems and machines to ensure consistent data flow and communication
Program and troubleshoot PLCs and other equipment to optimize production processes
Design testing methods to ensure:
- Compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Product and process quality
Design solutions and support the introduction of new products

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment via professional work experience
Must live in or be willing to relocated to Kansas City Missouri area

Preferred

Experience with automation tools including PLCs SCADA MES Wonderware and Siemens PCS7
Experience creating and maintaining SQL databases
Proficiency in programming languages such as C#
Working knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP and Ethernet
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
