Role
The ACD is looking for a Young Associate with excellent analytical and organisational skills who will work within a highly skilled and dynamic team of legal analysts specialised in the anti-corruption field. They will report to a member of the ACD Secretariat.
Main Responsibilities
Research analysis and drafting
- Conduct legal research and analysis of governments laws regulations policies and efforts to prevent detect investigate and prosecute the bribery of foreign public officials in international business. These tasks will be conducted to support the monitoring of the implementation of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention and the related legal instruments; the WGBs horizontal studies; and the assessment of non-Member countries requests to participate in the WGB and to accede to the Convention.
- Contribute to the drafting of country monitoring reports horizontal studies briefing notes and communications materials in support of the above-mentioned activities.
- Support other activities of the WGB such as its plenary meetings and work related to monitoring the implementation of the Convention.
- Support engagement with non-WGB members at the country and regional levels including through the development of capacity-building tools and products the organisation of initiatives and events and the management of projects.
Qualifications :
Ideal Candidate Profile
Academic Background
- Undergraduate degree in law preferably with specialisation in criminal or anti-corruption law or a related discipline (graduation date between 1 January 2025 and 1 September 2026). Applications from candidates who already hold or are enrolled in a Masters PhD or equivalent degree will not be considered.
- Course work in the following areas is required: criminal or anti-corruption law political science public administration economics taxation accounting law or other relevant field.
Tools
- Knowledge of PowerBI is desirable.
Skills
- Ability to write clearly and quickly about highly technical subjects in a manner accessible to senior government officials.
- Ability to conduct legal research.
- Knowledge of corporate tax and accounting laws would be an advantage.
- Coding skills are desirable.
