Job Summary
The Senior Director of Government Relations will be responsible for developing and executing the companys government relations strategy. This role involves leading a team of three professionals supporting Greater China including China Hongkong Macau and Taiwan driving government relations initiatives and managing geopolitical challenges to advance the companys interests and objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in government relations a deep understanding of the government at national and provincial levels an understanding of automation and energy policy and a proven track record of successful advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy that aligns with the companys business objectives with a focus on energy and automation.
- Lead and manage a team of government relations professionals providing leadership and guidance to ensure the achievement of team goals.
- Drive government relations initiatives and manage geopolitical challenges to ensure the companys success in a complex environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials policymakers and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company and provide strategic advice to senior management with a focus on energy and automation related issues.
- Advocate for the companys interests before government officials and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of government relations activities with business goals.
- Represent the company in industry associations coalitions and other forums to advance the companys policy objectives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations reports and other communications to senior management and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 15 years of experience in government relations public affairs or a related field
- Strong knowledge of government processes policies and regulations
- Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of the industry and regulatory landscape
- Experience in a corporate government relations role
- Industrial experience in Energy / Automation will be a plus
