Job Description Summary:

Along with the System Director FP&A implements the strategic planning for labor and productivity management for the system. Identifies productivity opportunities and communicates recommended solutions appropriately with facility and system leaders. Follows company standard processes and utilizes standard tools to ensure consistency across the company. Collaborates with facility executives and department managers to continually improve productivity results. Participates in annual budget process and implements productivity changes as needed. Owns data integrity analytics and reporting for labor across markets. Serves as a resource/member of the financial planning and analysis team. The position is also responsible for complying with corporate policy and procedures managing resources promoting teamwork and maximizing internal and external customer satisfaction.

Job Description:

Support system hospital and department leaders in the implementation of labor management strategies.

Manages the Monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness identifies areas for improvement and provides guidance about the appropriate corrective actions.

Implements and or monitors market-wide project and action plans for labor management premium pay contract labor and overall labor expense management.

Develops oversees and improves daily operations policies systems and procedures necessary to support cost reduction and system utilization goals.

Oversees the position requisition process.

Researches and transfers best practices to support performance improvement projects and renders reports based on analysis and research.

Directs standardization of operational policies and procedures across system as appropriate.

Utilizes comparative data to target performance improvement opportunities.

Ensures the delivery of consistent and accurate management reporting to adequately support decision making.

Manage and /or participate in the preparation of regular reporting and the maintenance of detailed and organized documentation for all labor metrics and initiatives.

Support the training and development initiatives for operational leaders to improve operational efficiency.

Participate in ensuring accuracy of volume forecasts controls target requirements manages stakeholder and business demands and assesses and implements appropriate resource utilization.

Participate in labor management projects providing support in planning execution and evaluation.

Participate in projects related to the development and innovation of new systems processes and technologies within the labor management scope.

Serve as resource for productivity standard development.

Assesses and maintains quality control practices that improve productivity and operational metrics.

Maintain accurate reporting of labor management and productivity metrics and responsible for data integrity within markets in all labor management systems.

Continuously monitor productivity performance using recognized tools and software.

Participates in the development and delivery of new reporting and analytics to support decision making.

Participates in facility and division budget planning.

Manage the collection compilation analysis and dissemination of labor data to identify trends areas for improvement and corrective actions.

Provide administrative and analytical support to system leadership.

Identify and recommend areas of improvements in labor processes and workflows.

Support system leadership with actions to improve results and ensure needs and requirements are met.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned and as needed.

Additional Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering finance or Management
  • Masters degree preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years professional experience; 1-3 years relevant work experience preferred
