ResponsibilitiesSr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer forHoneywell International Inc. (Duluth GA)
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Responsible for designing innovative and cost-effective projects improving techniques processes and products while providing technical expertise and delivering complex solutions throughout the company.
- Design mechanical products that meet the required certifications such as UL NEMA NFPA and FCC.
- Define and maintain product structures for the entire portfolio (1000 SKUs) and integrate products into complex systems for specific applications in the public safety industry.
- Design and improve manufacturing processes assist sales and pre-sales in defining the technical feasibility of projects/products collaborate with Supply Chain to keep the production processes running as fast as possible and find solutions for shortages.
- Develop suppliers (domestic and global) look for new technologies inside and outside Honeywell that can be applied to their products and collaborate with other development teams in Honeywell in Atlanta Miami and Northford to create more integrated and intelligent solutions.
- Lead the development and provide technical expertise across the design team as well as will review and approve designs to accomplish project/product requirements.
- Assigned to high importance matters that need fast and precise solutions especially concerning manufacturing design and supply chain processes.
- Develop complex ad-hoc solutions for customers define test procedures run simulations to improve quality and shorten the design cycle test products and build prototypes to ensure compliance with customer needs and industry standards.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE:
- Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 4 years of UL NEMA NFPA and FCC experience.
- Must have 4 years of experience with the following: mechanical design; public safety; inbuilding wireless; supply chain; testing and prototyping; and home and building technologies.
