Description

Summary: Implement and oversee leading edge financially sustainable programs and services that are in alignment with the overall vision mission values and strategic plan of Zoom Group.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Other related duties may be assigned.

  • Finance / budget - Work with members of the finance department to establish annual program budgets. Evaluate financials monthly and monitor program financial status.
  • Program committee (Board Contact) - Provides Board with strategic goals that are aligned with the organizational strategic plan and provide progress reports and updates at each board meeting.
  • Compliance training - Ensures that programs meet all applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Performance management - Sets performance expectations and guidelines for program staff. Establishes quarterly performance commitments with each employee based on the organizational vision and strategic plan. Provides regular feedback and performance appraisal on these items.
  • Program development - Responsible for overseeing the development of a strategic plan for the programs that aligns with the broader organizational vision. Establish new programs and services where available to meet the needs of the individuals served by Zoom Group including but not limited to developing (collaboratively with Zoom leadership) and implementing key performance metrics (KPIs) for all programs.
  • Client recruiting - Develops a positive and cooperative relationship with key stakeholders community leaders and referral sources and ensures regular communication regarding available programs and services for clients. Individual Development Plan (IDP)-New December 2015.
  • Evaluating for quality - Establishes a means for ongoing program evaluation that includes feedback from clients and other stakeholders and constituents. This includes internal evaluation as well as processes for applying other evaluation criteria such as those requirements of regulatory entities and funders (e.g. Seven Counties Services Metro United Way Department for Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.) KPI Metrics to include: National and Kentucky Core Indicators
  • Annually in conjunction with the Accounting and HR areas reviews job descriptions roles and responsibilities for compliance with federal and state regulations.

    Each job description shall be reviewed at least annually. Regulatory requirements with federal state and local authorities may require change to job descriptions at any time in order to remain in compliance with said guidelines.

Innovation - Thinks creatively and generates innovative approaches and ideas. Presents ideas and information in ways that generates interest and momentum. Shares creative suggestions for improving work with others.

Problem Solving - Promptly communicates problems and concerns to the necessary persons. Uses reason and looks at facts when dealing with emotional topics. Is highly effective in facilitating group problem - solving efforts. Gathers and analyzes information and facts develops alternative solutions and resolves problems in a timely manner.

Communication - Requires the ability to read analyze and interpret financial reports regulatory compliance and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries/ complaints from customers regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Skilled in developing and delivering public and group presentations and effectively presenting information to top management public groups and/or boards of directors. Writes clearly and informatively; ability to write detailed operational procedures; adapts writing style to meet purpose/audience.

Professionalism - Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients employees vendors and regulatory agents; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.

Qualifications

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Education / Experience - Requires a Bachelors degree from four-year College or university in business; social services management or related field and a minimum of 5 years of leadership/program management and staff supervisory experience in non-for-profit service industry. The equivalent combination of education training skills and experience may be considered.

Computer Skills - Requires proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook email and contact management Excel Word and Access software; the ability to use Internet search engines/browsers to access websites and research and locate information necessary to perform essential functions.

Other Skills - Ability to operate common office equipment computer printers telephone fax and similar equipment. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts proportions and percentages. The ability to create and interpret statistical data graphs.

The ability to operate a motor vehicle to travel to work sites and other business locations.

While performing the duties of this Job the employee works in an office environment. Regular travel to outside the office to program site locations is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
