Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design within an industrial setup supported by a relevant masters degree and a proven track record of success. This role involves collaborating closely with hardware and PCB designers supporting production processes and contributing to an agile development environment.
You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Lugoj Romania location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through production ensuring adherence to quality standards and manufacturability
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware and PCB designers to develop integrated mechanical solutions
- Provide ongoing production support by resolving mechanical design issues encountered during manufacturing processes
- Create detailed mechanical drawings and models using design software such as CATIA CREO or SolidWorks
- Manage design data and workflows by implementing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
- Perform simulations and analyses to validate and optimize mechanical designs exploring generative design techniques to foster innovation
Key skills and qualifications:
- Masters degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Over 7 years of mechanical design experience preferably within an industrial environment
- Minimum of 2 years supporting production processes and activities
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Design for Automation principles
- Experience collaborating with hardware and PCB design teams
- Proficiency in CAD design software such as CREO or NX
Full professional proficiency in English
We value:
Familiarity with working in an agile development environment is advantageous
Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software tools
Knowledge of simulation software and generative design techniques is a plus
