Position Summary

The Pre-Owned Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This includes managing inventory pricing strategies sales team performance and ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a proven track record in automotive sales management and a passion for building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership:

    • Lead coach and motivate the pre-owned sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
    • Implement effective sales processes and training programs to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Oversee acquisition appraisal and pricing of pre-owned vehicles to ensure optimal inventory mix and profitability.
    • Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Customer Experience:

    • Ensure a seamless and positive buying experience for all customers.
    • Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Financial Performance:

    • Develop and execute strategies to maximize gross profit and maintain healthy turn rates.
    • Monitor and manage departmental expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Compliance & Standards:

    • Ensure adherence to all dealership policies manufacturer guidelines and legal requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records and reporting for sales and inventory.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 35 years of automotive sales management experience (Honda experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on accountability and performance.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and dealership management software.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
