Position Summary
The Pre-Owned Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This includes managing inventory pricing strategies sales team performance and ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a proven track record in automotive sales management and a passion for building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership:
- Lead coach and motivate the pre-owned sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Implement effective sales processes and training programs to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee acquisition appraisal and pricing of pre-owned vehicles to ensure optimal inventory mix and profitability.
- Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure a seamless and positive buying experience for all customers.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Financial Performance:
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize gross profit and maintain healthy turn rates.
- Monitor and manage departmental expenses within budget guidelines.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure adherence to all dealership policies manufacturer guidelines and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for sales and inventory.
Qualifications
- Minimum 35 years of automotive sales management experience (Honda experience preferred).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on accountability and performance.
- Excellent communication negotiation and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and dealership management software.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
