What You Will Do

• YOU will design and develop cutting-edge embedded software and communication productsin C/C and Rust

• YOU will drive project success by collaborating on requirements implementation test development and certification

• YOU will develop innovative tools and automated testing infrastructures that support Continuous Integration and Continuous Development processes

• YOU will mentor and guide software developers on technical and process challenges

• YOU will lead large initiatives and organize tasks for team members ensuring timely delivery

• YOU will impact our business and our customers supporting cost schedule and technical performance

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

• At least 2 years experience in the full software development lifecycle

• At least 2 years experience with embedded software development utilizing Python C/C and/or Rust

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Proficient in Linux development environments

• Strong expertise in Git or other version control systems

• Knowledgeable in networking and communications protocols

• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Experience with communications systems or software-defined radios

• Experience developing open systems architecture and microservices for containerized environments

• Experience applying patterns data structures and algorithms to solve problems in software systems

• Ability to investigate complex problems to root cause and champion the creation and implementation of solutions

• Ability to design and implement solutions to complex problems with minimal guidance

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
