Value Added Distributors is looking for a driven hardworking and enthusiastic Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Associate to join their team in Chambersburg PA! This position would mainly be responsible for managing customer inventory through delivering stocking counting and re-ordering products. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities for the VMI Associate:
- Develop customer relationships.
- Pursue new sales opportunities.
- Maintain customer inventory levels.
- Establish & maintain customer binders for each VMI customer.
- Participate in weekly conference calls with other VMI associates and VMI Manager.
- Meet with branch manager weekly (5-10) minutes to address any changes in stock levels at the customer location.
- Establish a backup training schedule with the branch manager to ensure proper coverage.
- Run usage reports quarterly and review with outside sales personnel.
- Review biannual VMI reports with customers.
- Pull and deliver the product to the proper inventory location department or personnel.
- Order entry.
- Shipping & Receiving operations
- Inventory management
- Warehouse operations
Necessary Skills for the VMI Associate:
- Good decision-making ability be highly organized with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Highly effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
Required Skills for the VMI Associate:
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record is required.
- The ability to successfully obtain a DOT medical card and a Class C Non-CDL drivers license.
- Comfortable and willing to drive in all types of weather.
- Previous knowledge of hydraulic components is a plus.
