We are looking for a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer/Food and Safety Officer to join our forward thinking and ambitious Food and Safety Team. Your role will be to deliver a wide range of regulatory and advisory activities covering food safety occupational health and safety infectious disease control skin piercing registration and port health.
Knowledge of legislation codes of practice and associated guidance is essential as is the ability to use your initiative to investigate make sound judgements and undertake a range of risk-based proportionate interventions.
You must hold a suitable Food Law Code of Practice qualification at Level 5 or above including but not limited to the Higher Certificate in Food Control Higher Certificate in Premises Inspection or a degree in an Environmental Health related subject. Applicants must be fully registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) as a Registered EHP (REnvH) or equivalent. Having a working knowledge of the IT system Uniform is desirable.
This post sits within a career progression framework that will recognise your qualifications experience and competency as well as offering potential development opportunities.
If successful candidates have not yet completed their CIEH portfolio and professional interview then you will be appointed at Band 6 and progress to Band 7 on successful completion.
