A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a committed and personable Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026.
The Role
You will work closely with pastoral staff Heads of Year and the safeguarding team to:
- Monitor daily attendance and punctuality
- Make first-day calls and follow up unexplained absences
- Produce attendance reports for SLT and governors
- Meet with students and families to support improved attendance
- Work with external agencies where persistent absence is a concern
- Contribute to whole-school attendance strategies and interventions
The school has a strong pastoral ethos and a consistent behaviour culture making this a rewarding and impactful role.
