Sr. DevOps Engineer

Project Overview

Client is seeking a senior-level DevOps Engineer to support the Markets technology group. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable infrastructure strengthening CI/CD delivery improving resiliency and disaster recovery and supporting critical systems within Banking and OTC Clearing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and manage secure scalable and highly available cloud and container infrastructure (VMs OpenShift Kubernetes).
• Build maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable and fast deployments.
• Lead and participate in disaster recovery testing to support resiliency and continuity goals.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation Ansible) for automated provisioning and configuration.
• Monitor environments troubleshoot complex issues and drive proactive incident resolution.
• Automate operational tasks and develop internal tools to reduce manual work.
• Partner with development teams to embed DevOps practices and improve reliability.
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure and operational workflows.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for production support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in DevOps SRE or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS Azure or GCP) especially in Linux-based environments.
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Java Bash SQL Python).
• Deep experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins Tekton or TeamCity.
• Proficiency with Docker Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK Datadog).
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Experience working with Oracle databases.
• Practical experience with IaC tools (Terraform CloudFormation Ansible).
