Role Overview:
Senior Cloud & AI Architect responsible for designing and implementing secure scalable AI/ML and cloud solutions to support public sector operations. The role leads architecture decisions mentors technical staff and works with stakeholders to deliver compliant AI and AWS-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement secure scalable AI/ML solutions across public cloud and hybrid environments.

Architect and modernize enterprise applications for AWS-based deployments.

Evaluate AI platforms frameworks and tools; recommend solutions (e.g. AWS SageMaker Azure ML Google Vertex AI PyTorch).

Collaborate with stakeholders support multiple teams and projects and mentor other architects.
-
Ensure compliance with public sector security and responsible AI practices.
Required Skills & Experience:

10 years overall experience with a minimum of 5 years enterprise full life-cycle architecture experience.

5 years hands-on technical application architecture experience including build and modernization.

Extensive experience architecting designing and programming applications in AWS environments.

Strong expertise in machine learning deep learning and natural language processing.
Preferred Skills:
-
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred - please attach certification).

Experience with generative AI chatbots and LLM deployment for public sector use cases.

Familiarity with public sector security/compliance standards (FedRAMP FISMA NIST AI RMF NIST 800-53).

Experience with AI ethics bias mitigation and responsible AI frameworks.
Additional Details:
Work hours: Standard. Candidate must be local to Metro Atlanta and available to report onsite as directed. Start within 2 weeks of selection. Engagement contingent on customer renewal and funding availability.
