Position SummaryThe Cath Lab RN provides direct patient care within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab including assisting with patient preparation and recovery. This role requires technical proficiency critical thinking and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe effective cardiovascular care.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient care during cardiac catheterizations percutaneous coronary interventions and permanent pacemaker implants.
Assist in procedures including cardiac stress testing loop recorder implant and venous ablation.
Prepare patients pre-procedure and provide post-procedure recovery care.
Monitor patients hemodynamic status and intervene as necessary.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Ensure compliance with standards set by CVMC AACN CCI and SICP.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Education:
Associate s Degree in Nursing (required).
Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
Licensure/Certification:
Active Arizona RN License or Compact State RN License (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Experience:
1 2 years of Cath Lab or critical care experience preferred (training available for candidates with strong related experience).
Skills:
Proficient in patient assessment and emergency response.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-acuity environment.
