About the Role
The Head of Finance will take full responsibility for financial leadership across the business. This includes managing a small team overseeing financial operations improving processes and supporting the executive team with strategic insights. Youll play a major part in refining systems driving discipline across the organisation and creating a finance function that can scale confidently.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations including reporting budgeting compliance and cash flow.
- Provide accurate monthly management accounts financial insights and board-level reporting.
- Partner with executives on strategic planning scenario modelling and performance tracking.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead mentor and grow the finance team.
- Build a culture of accountability clarity and continuous development.
- Strengthen administrative and operational capabilities across the department.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Ensure strong financial governance internal controls and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Improve systems processes and reporting frameworks to support growth.
- Oversee reconciliations financial schedules treasury and statutory submissions.
Business Growth & Operational Support
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial and commercial alignment.
- Support business development activities new product launches and group expansion initiatives.
- Drive efficiency cost control and disciplined financial management.
Requirements
- CIMA (ACMA/CGMA) qualification required.
- 8 years of experience in Finance ideally within financial services investments asset management lending or related sectors.
- Proven experience leading finance teams.
- Strong operational and administrative capability organised detail-driven and steady under pressure.
- Strong understanding of budgeting reporting cash flow compliance and governance.
- Experience improving processes and building scalable finance functions.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
