Job Summary

Description
Scope:
  • Work with project teams to ensure a successful release of Business Intelligence reporting using Power BI. The resource(s) will be responsible for:
  • Use Power Query to extract data from different data sources and choose a storage mode and connectivity type. and nbsp;
  • Profile clean and load data into Power BI and nbsp;
  • Design data models that are intuitive high-performing and simple to maintain and nbsp;
  • Use M and DAX language to create measures and nbsp;
  • Ensure high performance of Power Query data retrieval tasks and nbsp;
  • Create Power BI report designs and report formatting including report navigation
  • Examine sort and present data using Power BI in a cohesive manner. and nbsp;
  • Leverage statistical summaries of data and facilitate export of data from Power BI when required. and nbsp;
  • Apply and perform advanced analytics on reports for deeper and more meaningful data insights. and nbsp;
  • Leverage workspaces in the Power BI service. and nbsp;
  • Deploy Power BI artifacts to workspaces and enable sharing to users. and nbsp;
  • Connect Power BI reports to on-premise data sources. and nbsp;
  • Configure automatic refresh for Power BI datasets. and nbsp;
  • Enable Row-level security and nbsp;
  • Understand the report users needs and their requirements
  • Develop reports all the way into production. and nbsp;
  • Work with the project team in completing all relevant and required documentation in alignment with OPS standards.

Deliverables:
  • Create Power BI report(s) data models
  • Undertake special assignments/sub-projects as assigned
  • Conduct assess evaluate and document stakeholder interests and business needs
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to IT processes and standards
  • Support the testing team during system and UAT testing
  • Participate in Knowledge transfer


Skills

Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI developer building Business Intelligence reports and dashboards
  • Demonstrated experience with M DAX and Power Query
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem
  • Proven experience with SQL Server and other database technologies
  • Proven demonstratable experience in data modeling and data visualization; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies
  • Knowledge of data analysis data management
  • Proven ability to partner with internal/external stakeholders and liaise with technical experts and non-technical colleagues
  • Experience in understanding capturing and analyzing complex and sometimes competing business requirements to develop Power BI and Business Intelligence products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills interpersonal and facilitation skills and nbsp; and nbsp;
  • Strong written presentation and interpersonal communication skills with special attention to correct use of tense grammar/spelling and terminology
  • Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills including the ability to plan and prioritize workload ensuring timelines are met and respond to demands of a dynamic environment
  • Mandatory Requirements: At least 5 years of experience
  • All roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS. and nbsp;
  • Security Clearance process levels roles etc. are subject to change without prior notice. Candidates may be required to undergo revised/new process (or levels) any time prior or during the term of the contract.

  • Proven work experience as a Power BI Report Developer
  • Demonstrated experience with M DAX and Power Query
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem and the Power Platform
  • Proven experience with SQL Server and Power BI Datasets
  • Proven demonstratable experience in data modeling and data visualizations for Power BI; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies and nbsp;
  • Knowledge of data analysis data management
  • Experience in understanding capturing and analyzing complex and sometimes competing business requirements to develop Power BI and Business Intelligence products
  • Demonstrated experience with performance tuning in Power BI including measures relationships and visuals
  • Demonstrated experience with data sources for Power BI including DirectQuery Import and appropriate Considerations and limitations
  • Demonstrated experience with Power BI datasets
  • Demonstrated experience with Power BI refresh
