So what will you be doing as the Director of Finance
- Lead the finance and accounting function for the region.
- Train develop and coach controller team by identifying skill gaps and drive training for optimal performance.
- Lead regional compliance function and serve as next level reviewer and approver.
- Supports the FP&A function with regional financial data and serve as key input into the financial planning process to improve accuracy and clarity.
- Address reporting requests as needed.
- Identify and lead regional initiative to improve processes and profitability.
- Act as a key contributor to management reviews of reports including financial reporting and guidance.
To be successful in this role youll need:
- 4 years University degree in accounting finance business or related; MBA
- CMA or CPA preferred
- 10 years of finance and accounting leadership within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred) spanning various facilities and countries
- Experience in activities such as financial close budgeting/forecasting internal controls internal and external audit management ad hoc analysis management reporting US GAAP and taxation
- Ability to lead a remote North American team and demonstrated experience developing talent
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong computer literacy specifically Microsoft Excel
- Proficiencyin ERP systems familiarity with Microsoft D365 preferred
- Excellentanalytical skills with an attention to detail and process
- High integrity and ethical standards and an ability to handle confidential information
- Travel to North American assembly plants meetings etc / 10% 20%
