Job Summary

Electrical and Automation Technician - Permanent Position(3961)

The Company

Eisai Manufacturing is the hub of Eisais production and supply chain. We make tablets package these into blisters label and package vials and bottles. We also manage the wider medicines supply chain and other companies who undertake work on our behalf.

Your new role

Reporting to the Senior Production Engineering Manager this role is responsible for the reliable and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant operation of the Production related equipment on Manufacturing and Packaging machinery and supporting systems within the EKC facility at Hatfield.

To ensure that operations carried out within your area of responsibility are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Eisai Quality System GMP Guidelines and Industry Standards.

Requirements of role

  • Maintenance fault finding and repair of all electrical equipment and controls associated with Production processing and Packaging equipment such that production priorities are met and the equipment performs to its optimum capability and maintains GMP compliance.
  • Project involvement working with other departments
  • Equipment failure reports on CMMS systems. eg Maximo
  • Corrective and Preventative actions and to prevent re-occurrence of faults.
  • Multi-disciplined flexible attitude to team working.
  • Perform PLC and Computer based system back-ups and ensure Software version control in association with the EML Computer Systems Register.

Preferred additional skills

  • Knowledge of PLC and Computer based systems.
  • Modify parameter of configurable devices such as Inverters controllers and transmitter devices.
  • Electrical installation for industrial equipment

What are we looking for

  • Time served apprenticeship or relevant experience
  • City & Guilds
  • Btec Level 3
  • or relevant technical equivalent.
  • Fault finding skills
  • Ability to read engineering drawings. eg P&ID and loop drawings
  • Aptitude for neat clear and concise documentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own work.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Adaptable and flexible to cope with the changing needs of production.
  • Growth mind set
