Position Description
The City of Inver Grove Heights is hiring a seasonal Adaptive Bowling Leader to work with adults and children with disabilities in a recreation setting. This position would greet participants take attendance collect payment assign lanes move adaptive equipment as needed to ensure accessibility assist participants while using adaptive equipment and serve as the main contact for the league on-site.
Essential Job Functions
Supervising participants at all times ensuring safety for all participants physically assisting participants as needed creating meaningful relationships with participants preparing necessary reports and forms serving as an advocate for individuals with disabilities and other duties as assigned.
Please note: The Adaptive Bowling Leader will not be the only adult on-site for this program. Parents guardians and caregivers attend to assist as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
16 years of age or older.
Experience working with families in a programming instructional or event capacity.
Ability to work effectively and communicate with Recreation Staff participants caregivers and/or be able to stay on your feet for extended periods and navigate the bowling alley effectively.

Dates/Hours/Location:
Wednesdays January 28 -March 18
The program starts at 5:45 PM and runs until two games of bowling are complete (typically around 2 hours total).
Shift time: 5:30-approximately 7:45 PM
