Job Summary

PPS is seeking a qualified Operations Manager in its new Phoenix Arizona facility!

Reporting to the Plant Manager the Operations Manager has direct responsibility to safely lead and to manage operational aspects of the new Phoenix facility including extrusion anodize paint production control fabrication packing and shipping. With responsibility of various areas in the manufacturing facility this position is considered second in command and ensures all workers are safe and productive in manufacturing quality products on time and on budget.

Responsibilities Include:

Monitoring all operations for safety environmental and housekeeping concerns and ensure action is taken to protect the health and welfare of our employees and our environment.
Engaging the workforce in problem solving initiatives and ensuring the disciplined execution of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Identifying equipment and operating problems and implementing plans to increase productivity.
Establishing KPIs for Operations ensuring that safety quality and productivity are monitored and improved as required.
Assisting in developing our technical and operating capabilities through a suitably developed and administered training and development program.
Ensure that all elements of the quality management system are being followed.

Providing leadership and coordinating strategic business initiatives required to drive process improvement throughout the manufacturing operations in pursuit of operational excellence.
Work with the corporate technical group departmental managers to ensure production is conducted safely on time and on budget.
Staying current on changes in technology and equipment within the industry and contributing to the development of business strategies to assist with growth and profitability
Ensuring compliance in all OHSA environmental and compliance related issues.
Focusing on productivity order fulfillment schedule adherence process control process stability and inventory management to ensure the highest level of service

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10 years managerial experience in a manufacturing / plant environment.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
MBA / MS advanced degree

Experienced in extrusion and extrusion finishing processes.

A proven record of senior management success in a fast paced customer focused manufacturing environment.
Experience in successfully developing strong teams and strong relationships with internal stake holders suppliers customers and other key business partners.
Experience in strategic planning and optimization of resources.
Experience in managing safety quality productivity and cost in a capital-intensive operation.
Experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
Proven ability to lead collaborate and execute
An identifiable track record of senior operations management experience delivering profitable results in a highly competitive manufacturing environment

A hands-on management style with experience running highly automated highly capitalized factories in highly competitive environments.
A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with customers employees and suppliers.
