ROLE SUMMARY:

Kings College Soto de Viñuelas the flagship British international school of the Kings Group was founded in 1969 and is renowned for its academic excellence and warm inclusive ethos. We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring English Teacher to join our thriving Secondary School (ages 1118). The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across the British curriculum and the IB Diploma Programme with the possibility of a responsibility allowance (e.g. for Key Stage 3 or 4 coordination).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan prepare and deliver high-quality lessons following the UK National Curriculum and IB frameworks.

  • Teach across the Secondary age range (Years 713) including IGCSE and IB English.

  • Assess record and report on students progress in line with school and curriculum expectations.

  • Contribute to the pastoral care and personal development of students.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching learning and curriculum development.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school life.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A degree in English (or a closely related subject) and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS PGCE or equivalent).

  • Proven experience teaching English at IGCSE level.

  • The ability to teach IB English at Standard and Higher Level.

  • A strong understanding of international curricula and best teaching practice.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a positive and forward-thinking approach.

  • A commitment to fostering students creativity critical thinking and confidence
