Purpose
As a strategic leader within Scotiabanks International Commercial Banking the Director Segmentation & Value Proposition is responsible for designing and deploying differentiated data-driven segment strategies that unlock growth deepen client relationships and enhance commercial impact across geographies.
Reporting to the VP Client Experience and Commercial Product this role leads the development of needs-based segmentation frameworks segment-specific value propositions and go-to-market initiatives that align with the Banks strategic prioritiesparticularly the acceleration of Cash Management through initiatives like Cash-in-a-Box and the Virtual Relationship Manager.
The Director will collaborate closely with Global Transaction Banking (GTB) regional leaders product teams marketing and analytics to ensure that each segment is served with tailored solutions compelling value stories and scalable coverage models.
What Youll Do:
Segmentation Strategy: Design and implement a robust data-driven segmentation framework for International Commercial Banking anchored in client needs behaviors and growth potential.
Value Proposition Development: Lead the creation and refinement of segment-specific value propositions ensuring alignment with business strategy product capabilities and local market dynamics.
Cash Management-Led Go-to-Market: Partner with GTB to develop and deploy Cash-in-a-Box and other Cash Management-led solutions tailored to each segments operational and financial needs.
Virtual RM Deployment: Define and support the rollout of Virtual RM coverage models ensuring scalable cost-effective service delivery for lower-touch segments while maintaining personalization and advisory quality.
Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor KPIs related to segment growth product penetration client retention and profitability. Report progress to senior leadership and adjust strategies as needed.
Segment Intelligence & Analytics: Leverage internal and external data to generate actionable insights on segment performance client needs and competitive positioning. Use these insights to inform strategy and prioritize initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Marketing Digital Finance and Regional Commercial Banking teams to align go-to-market strategies and ensure consistent execution across geographies.
Competitive Benchmarking: Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify trends gaps and opportunities in segment strategy and value proposition design.
Brand Alignment: Ensure consistency between Scotiabanks brand promise and the actual value proposition across segments and geographies.
Governance & Risk: Ensure all initiatives comply with regulatory standards and internal policies (e.g. KYC AML) safeguarding the Banks reputation
