Who we are
Common House is a modern social club with locations in Richmond VA Charlottesville VA Chattanooga TN and New Orleans LA. More than a membership the Houses provide inclusive spaces to dine work and discover through daily programming unique amenities and connection opportunities with other members.
Position Summary:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain the facilities through the daily weekly and monthly cleaning/maintenance schedules
- To fulfill assignments as appropriate to ensure that the entire area of Common House is set to the benchmarked superior standards in accordance with all required standards set in place by the General Manager
- To take all necessary steps in maintaining all levels of cleanliness in house to include but not limited to: social hall restaurant coworking event spaces storage areas dish area trash floors tablestops bathrooms gym pool and pool area.
- Perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Set up and break down event spaces using floor plans and BEOs provided by the event team.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- The organization sanitation care and maintenance of all kitchen equipment (cooking equipment storage refrigeration small wares work surfaces floors shelving etc) in areas of responsibility
- Promote the companys safety goals and actively work towards ensuring a safe working environment
Normal Working Hours: Shifts are required (mornings evenings and/or days)
Technical Requirements:
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Good Time Management and Organizational Skills
- Must be able to read and follow menus and recipes
- Good understanding of what a good product is and how to be consistent
- Flexible schedule schedule may change from week to week
Required Supervision:
- Very little supervision provided
- Ability to complete tasks unsupervised
- Ability to take initiative and ownership to provide the best service for our guests
Other Requirements:
- Positive attitude
- Team player
- Take direction and feedback well
- Production/Quality oriented
Physical requirements
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Able to stand on feet for extended periods of time
