Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Role

As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be part of a global cross-disciplinary agile team designing implementing validating and maintaining mechanical subsystems for Markem-Imaje current and future printers.

In this role you will work with talented engineers in a global environment building complex products. From proof of concept to production youll work with products across a variety of printing technologies targeted to meet our customers needs and the strategic objectives of Markem-Imaje.

What you will do:

• Drive quality and efficiency within the Mechanical Engineering team by setting an outstanding example in terms of highly effective design collaboration with cross-functional teams in a global capacity (USA UK France Poland Italy India China).
• Perform and lead CAD design engineering computers simulations and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals.
• Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem-solving activities.
• Deploy state of the art mechanical engineering development practices (such as advanced fabrication methods rapid prototyping reliability studies FEA/CFD simulation etc.).
• Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency effectiveness and mechanical subsystem quality.
• Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third party engineering partners and suppliers.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering research and development roles preferably within an Industrial environment.
• Experience designing industrial products from concept through production.
• Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill preferred) FEA/CFD analysis and thermal/flow/pneumatics/electro-mechanical testing.
• Experience in 3D manufacturing additive manufacturing injection molding or precision part casting is a plus.
• Excellent communication both verbal and written.
• Must be able to work independently as well as work well within a team environment.
• Must be organized results oriented with the ability to working on multiple projects in parallel.
