The Director of Operations is responsible for managing and optimizing all operational activities within the RTLS Business Unit. This role ensures accurate and timely order fulfillment efficient material management and cost-effective production and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement across supply chain processes to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) in order fulfillment rate (OFR) and manufacturing turnaround time (MTPT) while maintaining strong cross-functional and supplier relationships.

As ourDirector of Operations & Supply Chain youll support HIDs successby:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately on time and in accordance with quality standards to achieve OFR KPIs.
  • Forecasting order quantities for each product by analyzing sales demand and historical data to optimize inventory availability reduce stockouts and minimize excess inventory costs.
  • Planning purchasing and scheduling materials including raw materials finished goods and third-party products to support sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Supervising product manufacturing at contract manufacturers and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency quality and cost performance.
  • Providing leadership and support for new product introductions by identifying and qualifying suppliers capable of meeting target cost quality and lead-time requirements.
  • Developing and implementing best-practice material replenishment systems (e.g. Just-In-Time) to ensure material availability and meet MTPT KPIs.
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders - including sales engineering logistics implementation and customers - to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements project timelines and revenue goals.
  • Overseeing supplier management activities including cost negotiations contract renewals and addendums.
  • Developing and executing logistics strategies to minimize costs related to freight brokerage and duties while maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying and evaluating new material sources and manufacturing facilities to drive continuous improvements in cost quality and delivery performance.

Your Experience and Background include:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Operations Business Administration or related field required. A lower level - level degree combined with additional relevant experience may be considered in place of the stated educational requirement.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in operations supply chain or logistics leadership roles.
  • Strong analytical planning and organizational skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have people managerial or supervisory role demonstrating effective leadership decision making and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven capability in driving process improvements with a flexible and agile approach to adapting methods priorities and strategies as business needs evolve.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems such as Windows etc.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and lean manufacturing or JIT methodologies highly preferred.

The base salary in the United States is $124000 to $130488.
