Overview
Were looking for an early-career high-motivation sales professional who wants to grow fast. This role focuses on identifying service and install opportunities in HVAC Plumbing Refrigeration and Energy Solutions building strong client relationships and helping McCloskey Mechanical win profitable work.
You dont need years of experience you need drive curiosity communication skills and the willingness to learn our industry inside and out. Youll work closely with our VP of Sales and project teams to understand customer needs build trust and support the sales cycle from first conversation to final proposal.
What Youll Do
Sales & Lead Generation
- Identify new clients and sales opportunities across our service territory.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline with the VP of Sales.
- Research markets industries and properties to uncover new revenue opportunities.
- Actively reach out to prospects follow up consistently and keep conversations moving.
Client Engagement
- Meet with potential and existing clients to understand needs challenges and budgets.
- Help translate client needs into solutions that fit their facility timeline and costs.
- Participate in networking industry events and relationship-building activities.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Service Managers Estimators Procurement and Field Supervisors to gather technical details and pricing guidance.
- Assist with preparing quotes and formal proposals.
- Support Accounts Receivable by helping resolve payment questions when needed.
Process & Tools
- Keep CRM data clean organized and fully up-to-date.
- Follow all pricing onboarding and sales workflow requirements.
Continue learningproducts equipment building systems and industry trends evolve and youll be expected to grow right along with them.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills you like talking to people and building relationships.
- High motivation resilience and comfort working in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Ability to research organize information and follow up consistently.
- Basic understanding of sales principles customer engagement or business development.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce Zoho HubSpot etc.) is helpful.
- Interest in technical solutions (HVAC plumbing mechanical systems) well train you.
- A team-first mindset and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Commercial Industrial or Institutional HVAC/R and boiler service Strong proficiency in combustion analysis control logic hydronic system design and steam principles Valid EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record Solid understanding of building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and control integration Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently or as part of a technical team
