Job Summary
This is a remote position.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic Conversion Project Manager to support coach and advise our clients IT Project Team throughout a major Epic this role you will guide the organization through all phases of the data conversion and migration process including planning mapping extraction validation testing and activation.
This role is ideal for a seasoned Epic professional with deep data conversion expertise who enjoys mentoring client teams and driving consistency across complex implementation workstreams. The position offers a distinctive opportunity to establish a long-term career path within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation Leadership & Advisory
Serve as a trusted advisor to the clients IT Project Team across the entire Epic implementation lifecycle.
Provide guidance during Design Workflow Analysis System Build Conversion Cycles Testing and Go-Live Readiness.
Support project governance risk management decision-making and issue escalation.
Mentor client resources to improve internal capability and long-term self-sufficiency.
Epic Data Conversion Management
Oversee data conversion strategy and execution for all assigned Epic applications.
Lead planning sessions for data mapping extraction rules transformation logic and load schedules.
Ensure data conversion activities align with Epic methodology and project timelines.
Coordinate mock conversions integrated testing reconciliation and data validation cycles.
Troubleshoot conversion issues and ensure data quality completeness and integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with application analysts reporting teams technical integration specialists and operational stakeholders.
Facilitate alignment between business requirements data structures and technical solutions.
Engage with third-party vendors and legacy system owners to ensure smooth data migration.
Requirements
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 6 years of Epic build and support experience across relevant modules.
4 years of recent Epic implementation experience specifically supporting data conversion and migration.
Working knowledge of Epic data models conversion toolsets reconciliation processes and testing cycles.
Strong expertise in healthcare data legacy system analysis and cross-system mapping.
Proven project management skills including timeline planning documentation and communication.
Preferred
Experience leading multiple conversion cycles (mock integrated parallel and cutover).
Familiarity with reporting and extraction tools such as Clarity Caboodle SQL or ETL tools.
Experience coaching or mentoring client-side resources.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Travel Requirements
The role is primarily remote with up to 5% travel typically limited to one 23 day trip every other month for major project milestones testing workshops or readiness assessments.
