As the Portfolio Finance Coordinator youll play a key role in supporting the financial health of KiwiRails portfolio governance function. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Governance and Assurance youll help ensure the accuracy consistency and transparency of financial information across major programmes and projects.

This role involves coordinating reporting processes monitoring budgets tracking spend and maintaining clear financial documentation to support informed decision-making. Youll work closely with project teams to ensure that all financial activities align with KiwiRails strategic goals and funding frameworks.

Youll bring both technical skill and a collaborative mindset. Ideally youll have:

  • Proven experience in financial coordination project finance or portfolio reporting
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • A proactive solutions-focused approach and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A commitment to teamwork integrity and continuous improvement
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance accounting or business (preferred)
